Overview
Semasopht was founded in 2002 by Pascal Vallotton and Aygul Vallotton to commercialise revolutionary algorithms developed at ETH Zürich. The company was spun off in 2003 with seed capital provided by early adopters. Dr. Jean-Jacques Monbaron and Dr. Benedict Broennimann joined soon after, bringing on board their broad industry experience and technical skills. Semasopht was sponsored by the Swiss CTI start-up initiative and received the CTI distinction in 2004. The same year, Semasopht was Laureate of the Prix Lausanne Region Enterprendre. Since then, Semasopht has continuously been at the forefront of dynamic imaging and has a wide customer basis among the best laboratories worldwide.

We take genuine interest in solving the most challenging image analysis problems. We focus on enabling our customers to obtain accurate quantitative results from their experiments. We rely on a wide portfolio of IP around tracking algorithms, some of which have been licensed to companies, such as Bitplane AG.
